A Message from Mario Portugal, President of the Phi Chapter
Greetings from the Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi!
I would first like to thank you for your interest in our chapter and for visiting our website. The Phi chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was founded at the University of Southern California on May 13, 1922, and has since become a thriving organization both on campus and within the International Fraternity as a whole. From holding groundbreaking events such as “Secrets of the New Rich”—which hosted the Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestselling author Timothy Ferris—to our more casual and social events such as our end of the semester Banquet, Delta Sigma Pi is recognized for providing a perfect balance of professionalism, philanthropy, and social activities.
Here at Phi, we have a firm belief that the success of the Fraternity will emulate directly from the success of its members. Because of this, we are committed to helping our brothers achieve professional success through brotherhood—both in their academic and professional careers—which is something that has been done since our Fraternity was first founded at New York University in 1907. Aside from being one if the oldest and most recognized chapters in the nation, the Phi chapter places a strong emphasis on building its brothers professionally, academically, and socially. These attributes continuously allow our brothers to enter the business world passionate, motivated, and above all, prepared. Furthermore, being affiliated with Delta Sigma Pi opens you up to a network of over 220,000 active members, and provides endless potential for success. Some of the incredible offers that our brothers have received upon graduation include top companies in various fields of business, including KPMG, PWC, Deloitte Consulting, Merrill Lynch, Bain & Company, Raytheon, Paramount Pictures, and Walt Disney Pictures–to name a few.
As you can see, whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer student or a continuing student, Delta Sigma Pi has something to offer everyone. I personally encourage you to fulfill your potential, discover your passion, and leave a legacy with Delta Sigma Pi.
